A group of Rogers High School leadership students participate in activities at Camp Reed.

"I found out a lot about, not just myself, but all the people in the room. It's really nice to get close to them and see how they can grow as leaders, as well as I can.”

Earlier this week, about 40 John R. Rogers High School students participated the school’s Ignite Leadership Summit to develop their skills and prepare them for a new school year. As student leaders, they’ll have a chance to help support and guide their peers in building a #HillyardStrong community.

Thanks to Slingshot and its program director, Lisa White, for making this event possible for students, as well as Principal John Hammil and Leadership teachers Ashley Yelenich and Kathryn O'Connor for championing this opportunity for Pirates!
