Elementary students receive meals from a Spokane Public Schools Nutrition Services employee in their school cafeteria.

A hungry child cannot learn and we’re committed to providing fresh, local and delicious meals that help every student become a life-long learner, and to ensure a healthy learning environment.

Through our participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and the passage of a bill in the Washington Legislature in 2022, all Spokane Public Schools students are able to receive no-cost breakfast and lunch at school this year.

To continue our participation in this program, we are asking all families to complete a short pre-application survey to indicate eligibility.

Families will be asked to give SPS permission to share eligibility status with community partners so qualifying students can access additional benefits and resources, like fee waivers for tests and sports, Summer EBT, community discounts, and more.

Based on your responses, you may be prompted to complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit Application. If you need support in completing the application, please refer to Community Eligibility Provision.
