A new group of students were welcomed by Whitman Elementary School's Teacher Taylor for their first day of school on Tuesday. These 4-year-olds will spend this year adjusting to the school environment and routine to prepare them for kindergarten next fall. While they're at it, they'll have a lot of fun learning.

This year, every SPS elementary school is offering at least one free, all-day PreK class Tuesdays through Fridays for qualifying kids in their neighborhood who turned 4 on or before Aug. 31. Some sites are full, but we encourage anyone who is interested to apply so we can find you a spot or add you to a waitlist. Visit Preschool to find out more.
