Ever since Mister Rogers zipped up his cardigan and laced up his sneakers in the 1960s, PBS has broadcast children’s programs to educate, inspire and entertain at home. And today, local PBS station KSPS is supporting local teachers and students by bringing educational media and resources into classes too.
At schools like Lidgerwood Elementary School, a resource cart filled with tablets featuring educational games and apps to support instruction, teaching “everything from functional literacy to math,” said KSPS PBS Education Director Angie Riley:
