Last Friday during our Professional Learning Improvement Day (PLID), elementary Science specialists took their learning outdoors with a field trip to Manito Park to consider instructional activities they could recreate with their students.

The energetic educators explored the park, considered instructional strategies to facilitate learning activities, and brainstormed about how they could take their own students to local parks to engage in this type of learning.

We’re excited to see SPS students out and about on more field trips this year, whether it’s a walk to a neighborhood park or a Spokane Transit ride across the city!
