The Spokane Arena was bursting with characters on Wednesday, Dec. 18, as North Central High School and Shadle Park High School competed for the Groovy Shoes! North Central assembled a crowd of superheroes straight from the pages of your favorite comic books, while Shadle Park emptied the toy box to reach for the shoes.
On-court wins for the Highlanders, sandwiching an energetic game between the NC and SP Unified teams, weren’t enough to lace up a win in the spirit competition, and the Wolfpack will be guardians of Groovy Shoes for the ninth consecutive year.
Well done to both schools for their creativity and school spirit! We loved seeing so many future Highlanders and Wolfpack members join in the festivities!
