The Longboarding Club returned to Sacajawea this year with students meeting in Kim Taylor’s Engineering workshop once a week after school to build their very own longboards, from cutting and sanding to designing and painting.
Not only did students learn engineering and construction skills to complete the project, but they walked—or rolled—away a final product that allows them to get outside, stay active and explore their community! Way to go, Thunderbirds!
