Montessori Supply List for 2024-2025

  • All students need to have the following: 

    • Backpack
    • Complete change of clothes in a bag and labeled with name
    • Athletic indoor only shoes that stay at school for fitness

    Lower Elementary 1st-3rd

    • 1 package of 8-10 Colored Pencils to be shared
    • A sketchbook for nature walks
    • Two wide ruled composition books
    • Follow up Supplies (choose one): Yarn, Scholastic Prismacolor Pencils, embroidery thread, food dye, wool roving, felt
    • Grade Specific Materials:
      • 1st grade students- a pack of scrapbook paper
      • 2nd grade students- a pack of origami paper
      • 3rd grade students- a pack of watercolor paper 

    Upper Elementary 4th-6th

    • A package of glue sticks to be shared by community
    • A package of 8-10 colored pencils to be shared by the community
    • A pack of origami or scrapbooking paper 
    • Four lined composition books**
    • One graph paper composition book**
    • A three-hole zippered pouch for supplies* 
    • One 2” Three ring binder*
    • One 1” Three ring binder*
    • Two packages of subject dividers for binder
    • Gel pens, brush pens, charcoals, or some other special drawing tools to be shared by the community 

    *Only need to be purchased once per 3-year cycle. Do not need to be purchased new each year. 

    ** Composition books will need to be replaced when they are filled during the year. We recommend you buy several of these. 

     

    Kindergarten

    • Knitting yarn and/or colored felt in any range of colors
    • A brush/comb in a plastic bag labeled with name
    • Whole coffee beans for grinding
    • “Zote” soap (laundry soap bar) for grating 
    • 1-inch or smaller rolls of ribbon

    Middle School

    • Four notebooks (Math, Science, History, English)
    • Folders (1-3)
    • Headphones or earbuds
    • Pencil pouch/case (with supply of at least 3 pens/pencils) 
    • Fine-tipped markers, colored pencils, highlighters (optional)

    PLEASE NOTE:

    • A water bottle is recommended for all students for fitness and health. 
    • A pair of athletic shoes that stay at school for fitness and health serve as both indoor-only shoes and fitness shoes. Please be sure your child has a school-only pair of athletic shoes. 
    • We are an all-weather school! Snow and rain gear will be needed for recess and outdoor education. 
    • For the community garden, we welcome children’s sized garden gloves and garden hand tools. 
    • Classroom teachers may ask for special items from home for the classroom, such as a cup/water bottle, recycled art materials, items for a special project, etc....  
    • Donations to the classroom for animal care, botany, and science experiments are always welcome. Please check with your child’s teacher to find out specific needs.
