At last night’s School Board meeting, the board welcomed two high school students to serve as student advisors for the 2024-25 school year.

Both Shadle Park High School senior Lauren Erickson and Joel E. Ferris High School senior Maile Esperas were sworn in by School Board president Nikki Otero Lockwood.

Each year, students apply and are considered to serve for a one year term. The two selected students must be a junior or senior, and attend 5-6 board meetings throughout the year to provide student perspectives to the board and to share information from the board with their student peers.

Welcome, Lauren and Maile! Thank you for sharing your insights with our community.
