“When a kid connects with a performer – theatre, art, music – they are inspired. That is a life-changing moment.”
Linwood Elementary School welcomed musician Mark Wood at an assembly this week. Dubbed the Eddie Van Halen of the Violin World by PBS, Mark shared his passion for music and introduced students to the Viper, an electric violin that he created!
Mark is performing a free “Electrify Your Symphony Concert” with local orchestra students, including students from Ferris High School, Odyssey at Libby and Salk Middle School, on Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at The Fox. All are welcome and no ticket is required.
On Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m., “The Mark Wood Trans-Siberian Symphony Experience” is providing free admission for K-12 students. Call the Fox Theater Box Office at 509-624-1200 to arrange student passes.
Thank you to Mark Wood and Spokane Symphony for creating opportunities for students to engage with live music!
