We’re all about hands-on learning opportunities for students, and Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) knows how important it is for young people to see and experience potential career pathways in person.
Their GSI Business AfterSchool program arranges workshops for middle and high school students to visit local businesses and learn about the jobs available in different industries.
Some schools may set up field trips for multiple students to attend with a teacher or advisor, or parents/guardians may elect to bring a student who is interested in pursuing a career in a related field.
Here are the upcoming workshops scheduled this fall:
Thursday, October 3: Manufacturing Careers at Wagstaff
Thursday, October 10: Medical Apprenticeships with CHAS Health
Thursday, October 24: Financial Services Careers with GESA Credit Union
Wednesday, November 13: Pathways to Healthcare Careers at WSU Spokane
