Studies show that students who read over the summer gain an average of 1 month in reading proficiency while students who don't lose 2-3 months in reading proficiency; over time this can add up to YEARS of lost learning!
All incoming 6th-8th grade students are encouraged to keep their minds engaged in learning throughout the summer, and this is why we have prepared these assignments for students to complete by the first day of school. All students who complete these assignments will earn points for their neighborhoods and houses.
