“For many of us immigrants, the day you become a citizen is the mark of a new beginning.”
On Friday, March 28, 2025, Rogers High School hosted a naturalization ceremony, welcoming more than 50 new U.S. citizens. Judge James A. Goeke of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington presided over the ceremony, and noted that holding this event at a school allows students to see “a living affirmation of how the Constitution works.”
Thank you to the Rogers community and AFJROTC for hosting this inspiring event to welcome new U.S. citizens. As Rogers paraeducator Gracie Trent shared, “Let us continue to work together, grow together, and make this community, this country and this world a better place for generations to come."
