Apply for choice for next year.

All students are required to attend their assigned school based on where their address lies within school boundaries. You can search for your assigned school for next year here. Please keep in mind that your current school needs to have this address in our system for all of us to be on the same page. If you've had an address change, please communicate this to your current school ASAP and be prepared to provide proof of address in the form of a utility bill, rental agreement, driver's license, etc.

When transitioning from Elementary school to Middle school or from Middle school to High school, you need to make sure that your address feeds in to the school that you're expecting it to. Please communicate with your current school or the school that you're expecting to attend next year. We are happy to check and answer any questions you might have.

If you find that your address places you in a school boundary that feeds in to a school that you would rather not attend, you have a choice. You can apply for your school of choice. However, you need to do this the year before between these dates: January 1st - February 15th. Please note that applying for your choice or school does not guarantee placement. This is a lottery, and schools only have a certain number of spots available. You will be notified in February or March if you've been accepted to your school of choice.

You are welcome to apply for your school of choice after February 15th, but chances of acceptance diminish significantly.

Notes and/or emails were sent out to all of the Salk-related transitioning students the week of winter break communicating the school students are transitioning to and explaining the choice process.
